Animated sequence of snapshots from a TTM-MD simulation of laser spallation by the 2nd pulse
Animated sequence of snapshots from a TTM-MD simulation of the 2nd 100 fs pulse irradiation of a Ag target modified by the first pulse. The snapshots are shown for 0 to 1200 ps with a time resolution of 50 ps. The atoms are colored by their potential energies, so that most atoms in the crystalline part of the target are blue, the atoms in the melted part are green, and the atoms on free surfaces are red. Several snapshots from this animation are also shown in Fig. 8 of the paper.
