Grammars

Note: These are scholarly grammars, for those who want more information than can be found in A Guide to Old English.

Lass, Roger. Old English: A Historical Linguistic Companion. Cambridge: Cambridge UP, 1994. Linguistics, but not too ferocious. Sensible and lucidly written.

* Mitchell, Bruce. Old English Syntax. 2 vols. Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1985. The fullest treatment of Old English syntax.
