FALL UNDER IRREGULARITY
KAREN CHEN

Fall sends away summer and invites winter. It foreshadows the end of a cycle, a time when many lives in nature ends; the flowers wither and the leaves fall. Fall is a sentimental time of the year; yet the beauty of the season is irresistible. This final project explores the theme of fall under the context of irregularity, focusing on scenes and objects that reveal the transformation of season, which is further implied by the combination of warm and cold color tones. The intention of the project is to enhance and present the beauty of fall and nature through the unordinary lens of irregular elements and patterns while still delivering the sentimental feelings of the scene. Finally, the goal of the project is to bring to your attention another interpretation of visual aesthetic by convincing you that not only symmetry and uniformity is beauty, but irregularity should also be appreciated to a great extent.
