Raymond C. Jones is a teacher educator, consultant, and adjunct faculty member for the University of Virginia. He began his career in education as a middle and high school social studies teacher in North Carolina before undertaking PhD studies at the University of Virginia.

     When not teaching courses in reading and instruction for UVa, Ray travels extensively, working with teachers on strategic comprehension instruction and with administrators on developing instructional leadership skills.
